WHITTED, William G.

William G. Whitted, age 77 years,died at the Putnam County hospital at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning, after about a week's illness.  He was a well known farmer having lived on a farm west of Morton for many years.  For the last year he had made his home with his brother, Finnis S. Whitted, west Columbia street.

His wife, Nancy Lee Grider Whitted, preceded him in death in March, 1940. He had been a member of the Morton Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.

Survivors include one son, Lee O. Whitted of Rockville and one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Carver of Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Cordia Bettis and Mrs. Ada Frank of Girard, IL.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the McCurry Funeral Home, Rev. F. O. Fraley will have charge of the services.  The Masons will give their ritualistic service.  Burial will be in the Brick Chapel cemetery.  Friends may call at the McCurry Funeral Home. – thanks to MLH
